Skate boarding started over 50 years ago! In the 1970’s special skate parks were made just for the skaters.

Then skateboarders took there boards out onto the streets. And they brought the spirit of skateboarding to life. Skaters turned cities into huge playgrounds where they could practice their tricks!

Skateboarding is one of the most exiting sports, more and more people are getting into it!

There are many famous skaters like Tony Hawk, Eric Coston and many more skaters that have amazing talent!

Tony Hawk is probably the best skater in the world he has done tricks that no skater has ever done before!
